Application stack: Open Monograph Press latest stable release, PHP 8.3 with OPcache and all required extensions, the Apache web server with a TLS ready configuration, and the MariaDB database engine. Customer data (the MariaDB database and the OMP submission files tree, which OMP keeps outside the web root for security) lives on a dedicated data disk kept separate from the operating system disk.

On the first boot of your instance, a one shot service generates a fresh MariaDB password and a fresh OMP administrator password unique to that instance and writes them to a root only file, so no shared or default passwords ship in the image, and the web application only begins serving once those per instance credentials are in place. The OMP code tree, web server, and database are all configured, the installer is already completed and locked away, and the application derives its address from the request so it answers correctly on your instance address automatically.
