rqlite
by kCloudHub LLC
Version 10.3.4 + Free Support on Ubuntu 26.04
rqlite is a lightweight, distributed relational database that combines the simplicity of SQLite with the reliability of the Raft consensus protocol. It allows developers and administrators to store, query, and replicate relational data across multiple nodes using a command-line interface and an HTTP API.
The solution supports distributed database workflows including SQL query execution, automatic data replication, fault tolerance, leader election, database backups, and cluster management. It is ideal for cloud applications, edge computing, distributed services, lightweight infrastructure, and applications that require a highly available relational database.
Features of rqlite:
- Lightweight distributed relational database built on SQLite.
- Uses the Raft consensus protocol for reliable data replication.
- Supports standard SQL commands for creating, inserting, updating, deleting, and querying data.
- Provides an HTTP API for database operations and application integration.
- Includes the rqlite command-line client for interactive SQL operations.
- Supports automatic leader election and fault-tolerant clustering.
- Supports database backup, restore, monitoring, and node-status operations.
- Can operate as a single-node database or as a multi-node distributed cluster.
rqlite usage:
$ sudo su $ apt update $ Verify installation: # /usr/local/bin/rqlited --version # rqlited -node-id 1 ~/node.1
