Usage instructions for Squid Proxy 7.7
$ sudo su
$ systemctl status squid77
$ /usr/local/squid/sbin/squid -v
$ /usr/local/squid/sbin/squid -k parse
$ systemctl restart squid77
$ ss -lntp | grep ':3128'

Squid Configuration File: /usr/local/squid/etc/squid.conf

Access Log: /usr/local/squid/var/logs/access.log

Cache Log: /usr/local/squid/var/logs/cache.log

Access the Squid Proxy:

Proxy Address: http://your-server-ip:3128

Default Proxy Port: 3128

Test HTTP proxy:

curl -x http://127.0.0.1:3128 http://example.com

Test HTTPS proxy:

curl -x http://127.0.0.1:3128 https://example.com

Check installed version:

/usr/local/squid/sbin/squid -v

Expected Version:

Squid Cache: Version 7.7
