DBLab Engine

by ATH Infosystems

Version 4.1.3 + Free Support on Ubuntu 26.04

DBLab Engine is an open-source database development and testing platform that enables users to create fast, isolated, and space-efficient PostgreSQL database clones. It uses copy-on-write technology to allow multiple database environments to share the same underlying data while keeping changes isolated, making it suitable for development, testing, debugging, and CI/CD workflows.

The solution provides production-like PostgreSQL environments without requiring a complete copy of the source database for every developer or test environment. It is ideal for developers, database administrators, DevOps teams, and organizations that need safe and reproducible database environments for testing schema changes, migrations, queries, application behavior, and database-related workflows.

Features of DBLab Engine:

  • Fast creation of isolated PostgreSQL database clones.
  • Copy-on-write technology for efficient storage utilization.
  • Production-like database environments for development and testing.
  • Safe testing without modifying the original source database.
  • Supports database schema changes, migrations, and query testing.
  • Space-efficient management of multiple database clones.
  • Suitable for CI/CD and automated database testing workflows.
  • Supports reproducible database environments for developers and QA teams.
  • Helps reduce storage and infrastructure requirements for database testing.
  • Useful for debugging application and database-related issues.
