istSOS

istSOS is an open-source Sensor Observation Service (SOS) platform designed for managing, storing, querying, and publishing observations and time-series data collected from sensors, monitoring stations, and environmental observation systems. Based on Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Sensor Observation Service standards, istSOS provides an interoperable framework for collecting and accessing geospatial sensor observations through standardized web services and APIs. It is particularly suited for environmental monitoring, meteorological stations, hydrological networks, air-quality monitoring, industrial sensors, and Internet of Things (IoT) applications where large volumes of observation data need to be organized and shared. istSOS integrates with PostgreSQL and PostGIS for structured and spatial data management and provides web-based administration and service interfaces that help organizations configure procedures, sensors, observed properties, offerings, and observation data. Its standards-based architecture enables applications and GIS platforms to efficiently exchange sensor observations while supporting scalable monitoring and geospatial data infrastructures.

istSOS Usage:

Start istSOS:
$ sudo su
$ cd /opt/istsos
$ docker compose up -d

#Check the containers: $ docker compose ps

#Open the administration interface: http://SERVER-IP:8080/istsos/admin/
