Apache Fineract on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Apache Fineract on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Apache Fineract is a mature, scalable core banking engine that powers digital financial services worldwide, exposing a comprehensive REST API for client, loan, savings, and general-ledger operations. This image is built and maintained by cloudimg on a hardened, fully patched Ubuntu 24.04 LTS base.

### What's included

• The Fineract provider (Spring Boot) on OpenJDK 17 with its Swagger API console, managed by systemd
• A relational backend with schema migrations applied on first boot
• The API and Swagger UI on port 80, protected by authentication
• A unique administrator credential generated on first boot (no shared default password)
• Application data stored on a dedicated managed data disk
• Automatic security updates enabled

### Getting started

Retrieve the generated admin password with `sudo cat /root/fineract-credentials.txt`, then call the API with the tenant header: `curl -k -u mifos:<password> -H 'Fineract-Platform-TenantId: default' https://<host>/fineract-provider/api/v1/offices`. The deployment guide on cloudimg.co.uk covers the API, tenants, and day-2 operations.
