OpenCATS on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS by cloudimg

Applicant tracking for recruiters: candidates, companies, job orders and hiring pipelines.
OpenCATS is a free and open source applicant tracking system used by recruiters and staffing teams to manage candidates, companies, contacts and job orders through their full recruiting pipeline. It brings candidate and company management, job orders, pipelines, activity logging, resume storage with full text search and a calendar into one web console, gated by OpenCATS's own user and access control. Built and maintained by cloudimg on a hardened, fully patched Ubuntu 24.04 LTS base, with OpenCATS 0.10.0 served by nginx and PHP 8.3 FPM and a bundled local MariaDB server, so the appliance is complete on its own.
The database ships installed and ready with the full schema, and a unique administrator password is generated on the first boot of every VM. The well known OpenCATS default login is removed, no known or blank credential authenticates, and the web installer is removed as post install hardening. Browse to the console on port 80, sign in as admin with the per VM password, and work from the dashboard, the candidates, companies and job order lists, and the add candidate form with resume import.
Resume text extraction tools (pdftotext, antiword, unrtf, html2text and catdoc) are preinstalled and wired in. The bundled MariaDB listens on the loopback interface (127.0.0.1:3306) only and is never exposed to the network. A single dedicated managed data disk carries both the database and uploaded resumes, so your recruiting data stays off the operating system disk and rides with the VM. An unauthenticated /healthz endpoint is provided for load balancer probes.
For production, add your own domain and TLS (HTTPS) and follow standard hardening.
