Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS by cloudimg

Tiki Wiki CMS Groupware is the Free/Libre/Open Source web application with the most built in features: a wiki, a content management system, forums, file galleries, trackers for structured data and forms, blogs and articles, all in one integrated package with no plugins to install. Teams use it for knowledge bases, intranets, documentation sites and community portals where one platform is preferred over stitching several tools together. This image is built and maintained by cloudimg on a hardened, fully patched Ubuntu 24.04 LTS base, running Tiki 29.2 Bellatrix served by nginx and PHP 8.3 FPM with a bundled MariaDB.

There is no default administrator password. Tiki's documented admin and admin default is never present and is proven not to authenticate. Every VM generates its own administrator and database passwords on first boot, written to a root only file, so no two deployments share a credential. The Tiki browser installer is removed and locked: on a default Tiki whoever reaches the installer first can claim the site, and on this image that route does not exist. PHP refuses to serve Tiki until the first boot rotation has succeeded, so the appliance fails closed rather than serving on a build time secret.

The bundled MariaDB listens on the loopback interface only and is never exposed to the network. A dedicated managed data disk carries the MariaDB data directory and Tiki's uploads, so your content rides with the VM. Starter wiki content is included so the site renders immediately. Tiki bakes a canonical site address into its configuration, so for production, front port 80 with your own domain and TLS and set that address as the site URL.

The optional Kaltura API client that upstream bundles is excluded because it is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License.
