Tryton ERP on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS by cloudimg

Modular open source ERP for accounting, sales, purchasing, stock, manufacturing and projects.
Tryton is a mature open source enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform, governed by the Tryton Foundation and published under the GNU General Public License. It is built from independent modules that you activate as your business needs them: parties and contacts, products, double entry accounting with invoicing, sales, purchasing, inventory and warehouses, manufacturing, and projects with timesheets, all sharing one PostgreSQL database and one browser based client.
What you get. Tryton 8.0 LTS (trytond 8.0.10 with the sao 8.0.11 web client) on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, with party, company, product, accounting, invoicing, stock, sale, purchase, production, project and timesheet modules already activated. The Tryton server runs in its own Python virtual environment under gunicorn as an unprivileged user on the loopback interface, nginx serves the web client over HTTPS, PostgreSQL 16 is bound to localhost, and trytond-cron runs Tryton's scheduled actions. Eleven further modules, among them bank statements, payments, fixed assets, analytic accounting, price lists, stock supply, project invoicing and manufacturing routings, are installed and ready to activate.
No default login. No Tryton database exists in the image at all. On each VM's first boot a fresh database is created, the modules are activated, ISO currencies and countries are imported, and the administrator password, the database password and the HTTPS certificate are generated uniquely on that VM and written to a file only root can read. The application, its scheduler and the web server stay closed until that finishes.
Hardened by default. Database listing is switched off and Tryton exposes no remote call that creates, drops, dumps or restores a database, so database management is only possible from a shell on the VM. Only SSH and the two web ports are reachable from outside and port 80 issues a permanent redirect to HTTPS. The reverse proxy overwrites the client address it passes on, so Tryton's per address sign in rate limiting always sees the real caller, and an on VM self-test proves the whole posture at any time.
